Teaching Moment at Grandma Day

This bird hit our big window and died.
The grandkids were upset. So we had a great
discussion.

The kids took turns helping to bury the bird.

Shannon Is Pregnant

Shannon and Aaron did their 2nd try at Envitro. It worked!!!!!! These are the two embryos that were implanted.
In the upper left hand corner you can see a streek of light. That is when the embryos were implanted. The doctor said that it must be good because of the light!! It could be twins. Stay tuned.

Suzannah and Devin and our Angel Lucy. I took Lucy into the store and everyone we passed stopped and said that she was the cutest thing they had ever seen. So I took her to eat lunch and as I looked around, the whole room was looking at Lucy and pointing at this baby. She is a little bit of heaven.

Cabin trip and Grandkids

We took Jace and Macaia's kids up to the cabin with us a couple of Saturdays ago.
There was a lot of snow, and the gravel pits were packed!
I just had to put this picture on. Devin is so good at making Lucy laugh. He would put her up in the air and say "Are you ready" and she laughed so hard!

Mexico!

We went to Mexico the day after Christmas to build houses for the two branches in Porto Pinasco.  We worked on 3 different houses.  It was a great experience.
Eileen and family joined us.  We took our lunch hour to ride quads (real cheap).  Branson was the cutest thing ever and he loves motercycles!!!!
Art and Annalyn shoveled sand through a screen for the cement.
We went to the homes on the railroad tracks to give out stuffed animals and clothes and oranges.
We got mobbed!!!

Christmas/ Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we had the grandkids do the Nativity.  Karalee was an Angel!!!
We also did sumo wrestling.  Jace and Macaia brought this tradition to our home.

Mason was Mary
Porter was a shephard
The whole scene!  Spencer was the Joseph and Bryant a shephard and Micah a wiseman!
We also do around the world Christmas Dinner.  A flag in each dish showed where it came from.  We had foods from Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Mexico, China, Germany, Dominican Republic and so on.  Great Food!  We have some good cooks in the Family!!!

More fun in December

It was Spencer and Porter's birthday this month. They were so excited to get the
Wii star wars legos game!!
We made little chocolate mice for grandma days!!!

But the kids favorite thing to do out of everything is riding the golf cart!!!!

Grandkids and Toys R Us

This past weekend I took 9 of my grandkids to Toys R Us to pick out their Christmas presents. I gave them each a $10 gift certificate and they could get whatever they wanted as long as they stayed within their budget. It was interesting to see them check price tags and then put toys back that were too expensive. I was trying to teach them the value of money and to spend within their means.  It was so fun to spend time with my grandkids!

We also made ginger bread houses...
Bryant and Spencer with their house...
Porter and his toys...
Micah and his knight outfit...
Spencer paying for his toy... I just love the smile!
All the kids had fun playing on the toys inside the store...
