Kacia, Kacia's mother Abigail, Brenda and Art.

Kacia's mother was baptised by Paul Welker from Thatcher. Paul met Tabajara and Kacia while they were visiting her mother in Santos and sent a referral to their area in Guaratingueta where Art happened to be serving at the time.

This is Kacia's little kitchen trash can. It sits on her counter so when it is full she can take it out to a bigger can. Our kitchen trash is a little bit bigger.

Ricardo and Kacia. Ricardo wasn't born yet when Art baptised his parents 33 years ago. He is a Doctor of acupuncture for animals and is still single.

Brenda and Kacia in Campo do Jordao
Campo do Jordao is a little city in the mountains that has a real European feel.

Brenda and Kacia got along really well for not being able to communicate in the same language.

This is one of the largest Catholic Churches in the world. Aparecida do Norte has been under construction for about 50 years. It is twice as big as when Art was there before.

Our Brazil Trip included going to the Houston Texas Temple, the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple, The Campinas Brazil Temple and spending a few days with Tabajara and Kacia that Art baptised 33 years ago.

This past week, Hayley and Heather went with Chad and Mindy to Mexico. They stayed in the Las Palomas resort in Rocky Point. They swam in the ocean and the swimming pools, rode jet skies and the banana boat, and even saw a couple of dolphins!!!

Art and Devin have been working on a block wall to go by our fire pit today... They just wish it wasn't so darn hot outside!!!

Today we put up our vinyl lettering in the game room. I think they turned out pretty cute! I especially like my big sign that says " Family... a journey to forever."

This week has been eventful. Art and I went to Jake Flakes Memorial Service. He is our daughter-in-law, Mindy's father. He was a very kind and loving father and husband and public servant.

I took 12 young children to the Kung Fo Panda movie for grandma days. That was fun!!! We took up and entire row. I sure wish I had a camera. It was okay until afterwards when the kids started going different directions. AAAGGGGHHHHH!! We went to Wendy's for lunch and then to swim at the Schnieders. What a day!!!

This weekend, the girls and I went to California with some friends, the Johnsons, who moved to Idaho a little while back. It was so much fun to see them again! We went to the beach on Friday during the day, and then went and saw the play, Wicked, Friday night. We also visited this cute cafe called Cafe Audrey. It was completely decorated in all Audrey Hepburn. It was an absolute blast, but it is great to be back!
